Napier Investing in Their Staff
NAPIER Management Services Ltd continue to invest in the development and nurture of their staff.
Seven key members of staff attended a seminar hosted by Bennington Green last month on how to simplify building terminology and understanding dampness in buildings.
The event, held at the Greenhouse Hotel in Bournemouth, ran for a couple of hours and covered the different states of water, ie gas, liquid and solids, and how this can be minimised.
Aileen Lacey-Payne, Director of Napier Management said; “A big thank you to Bennington Green and their staff for such an informative seminar. They explained in detail the difference between ingress due to damaged or defective building elements, services leaks, capillarity, hygroscopicity and condensation.
“They demonstrated the different causes of dampness comparing the condensation caused by peoples’ breathing over night which can produce a staggering 2.5 litres of fluid, compared to leaving a shower cubicle to dry on it’s own at 1.1 litres.
“We also learnt about different waterproofing systems for balconies and roofing and we all found it to be very informative.”
Napier are very proud of their ongoing training programme for staff which ensures they are fully equipped to deal with all the management issues they face day to day with some of their big blocks of flats.
Aileen added, “With the importance of the CDM2015 Regulations, it’s imperative that all Napier’s staff understand the company’s obligations to any remedial or maintenance works that may be necessary in any of our blocks."
